CABARROGUIS, Quirino, April 16 (PIA)- The six municipalities here are now on the process of procuring their own Covid-19 Antigen test kits to fast-track the testing of persons under investigation (PUIs) and those under monitoring (PUM) in their areas.
During the regular meeting of the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force yesterday, the six municipal mayors reported that they have available funds for the procurement of antigen test kits and public biddings were already conducted.
In Maddela, Mayor Rimel Tolentino said that their rapid antigen test kits are now ready for delivery but they are just checking if the brand to be delivered is approved by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
In Aglipay, Mayor Jerry Agsalda reported that they have yet to finalize the procurement and complete aall the needed documents by Monday due to the absence of their Finance Office employees who are on quarantine at the moment.
For Diffun, Mayor May Calaunan said they have devised a procurement strategy to be able to fast-track their procurement.
In Saguday, Municipal Health Officer Vivian Elizarde who represented Mayor Mercy Pagbilao said that they already purchased two boxes of antigen test kits for emergency use.
For Cabarroguis, Municipal Administrator Bart Trinidad reported that they will be utilizing the test kits donated by the Oceanagold.
Meanwhile, Gov. Dax Cua lauded the municipal local government units for their fast action as he reminded them to procure and utilize antibody test kits approved by the FDA.
